The Scout First Aid Training Camp, organized by the Kalutara District Scout Association, was held for the 5th consecutive year, on the 22nd and 23rd of February 2020 at the premises of WP/KL/Pottuwila Maha Vidyalaya.
This camp is organized annually on the instructions of Mr. H. D. Gunatilake, District Commissioner by Mr. Nuwan Jeewantha Assistant District Commissioner of Kalutara District, MoP District Coordinator of the Sri Lanka Scout Association and Scout Master of Pothuvila Maha Vidyalaya. It is noteworthy that 68 Scouts and 32 Girl Scouts participated in the scout first aid camp with the written permission of their parents and principals.

At the camp, the scouts were trained with practical activities covering the syllabus of first aid, Nursing, Ambulance, and Public Health proficiency Badges. The senior scouts of the 30th Kalutara Pothuvila Maha Vidyalaya contributed to the success of the camp by providing all their services. A special program was held to aware all the scouts who attended the camp on about the message of the Peace and the official website of the World Scout Association (scout.org).
The program was conducted by Mr. Nuwan Jeewantha, the MoP District Coordinator of Kalutara District and Mr. Chethiya Lakshan, MoP District Coordinator of Polonnaruwa District. At the end of the camp, all the scouts who participated were presented with a First Aid Training Module prepared by Mr. Lalith Jayaratne and a Certificate of Appreciation.
